On July 31, 2017, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine together with the National Standardization Administration of China released the "National Standards of the People's Republic of China [No. 20 of 2017]," which includes the "GB/T 34034-2017 General Lighting Requirements for LED Lighting Products" as well as the "GB/T 34075-2017 General Lighting LED Lighting Products." These standards, along with 203 national standards and 10 foreign language versions, were published simultaneously.
As per the announcement, these two national standards for LED lighting products will come into effect officially on February 1, 2018.
These new standards aim to provide a comprehensive framework for the manufacturing and quality control of LED lighting products in the general lighting sector. By adhering to these guidelines, manufacturers can ensure their products meet the required safety and performance criteria, ultimately benefiting both consumers and the industry as a whole.
