The development level of the electronic information industry has now become a crucial factor for economies worldwide, and China is no exception. As China undergoes economic transformation and upgrading, the electronic information industry serves as its driving force. Initiatives like "Made in China 2025" and the "Belt and Road" are propelling the industry into a new era. In the Yangtze River Delta, which leads China's economic progress, Shanghai holds a pivotal role. As part of this region, Shanghai is tasked with advancing China's manufacturing goals and building a globally influential science and innovation hub.
To support these efforts, the Shanghai government has outlined plans in documents such as the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development," the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan for Shanghai's Manufacturing Transformation and Upgrading," and "Relevant Documents for the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan for Promoting Electronic Information Manufacturing in Shanghai." These plans emphasize fostering the growth of electronic information manufacturing.
The China Electronics Show, rooted in the Yangtze River Delta, plays a significant role in promoting the electronic information industry. This year's 90th edition of the fair will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from October 25 to 27, 2017. The theme of this year's exhibition is "Informatization Promotes Industrialization: Electronic Technology for Industrial Upgrading." It aims to showcase core technologies across the spectrum of the electronic information industry, from foundational electronics to cutting-edge fields.
With nearly 60,000 square meters of exhibition space, the fair will feature key sectors such as resistors and capacitors, connectors, semiconductor discrete devices, instrumentation, electronic manufacturing equipment, integrated circuits, new energy automotive electronics, smart homes, and an international exhibition area. This comprehensive layout will facilitate exchanges between industry participants along the entire supply chain.
This year's event will also host over 30 high-end forums and seminars covering topics like automotive electronics, the Internet of Things, smart homes, embedded systems, smart manufacturing, and integrated circuits. Industry experts, government officials, and scholars will convene to discuss trends and insights.
Moreover, the fair will offer extensive promotional resources, both online and offline, leveraging partnerships with over 50 media outlets. It will also facilitate procurement opportunities worth billions, inviting major players like Samsung Electronics Procurement Center, Fujitsu Group, and others to connect with exhibitors.
Previous editions of the China Electronics Show have drawn over 60,000 visitors daily, with 80% being professionals from the electronic information sector. Organizers plan to bring over 50 delegations from the Yangtze River Delta region to engage with exhibitors.
