Precautions for the new digital temperature sensor

Although the new digital temperature sensor has many advantages, in actual application, due to the single bus data transmission method, the read and write operation timing requirements are strict.

Since the introduction of the new digital temperature sensor in the mid-1990s, it has also developed rapidly in China, and it has been rapidly promoted and applied in the daily lives of the broad masses of people. But the new digital temperature sensor also needs more attention in practical applications. The following editors will briefly introduce the integrated circuit temperature monitoring system integrated circuit (AD7416) produced by American Analog Devices as an example.

1. To prevent environmental interference, a tantalum capacitor with a capacitance greater than 0.1F should be connected in parallel between the power supply of the AD7416 and the ground wire;

2. The temperature sensing device of AD7416 is inside the chip, so the surface of the chip should be in close contact with the measured object;

3. Due to the self-consumption of the chip, the temperature rise of the AD7416 during operation is about 0.2, so a low-power consumption working method should be adopted during temperature measurement

4. The greater the resistance of the pull-up resistor at the output of the OTI, the smaller the current flowing into the AD7416, and the smaller its temperature rise, but the pull-up resistor cannot exceed 30k, usually 10k;

5. The interface bus compatible with I2C is always effective after the AD7416 is powered on, so the on-chip data can still be read and written while the chip is in sleep state.
