UHV step-up transformer passed identification

On October 23, the 400,000 kVA and 1000 kV super high voltage step-up transformer developed by Shandong Electric Power Equipment Co., Ltd. passed the national appraisal. After the power plant adopts this product, the power generated by the power plant will not have to be transitioned to a 500 kV voltage level and can be directly incorporated into the UHV power grid.

The appraisal meeting is entrusted by the China National Machinery Industry Federation to be held by the National Energy Administration. Shu Yinyu, deputy general manager of the State Grid Corporation of China and member of the Party Group, attended the meeting.

An appraisal committee composed of 15 experts believes that the DFP-400000/1000 UHV step-up transformer has the characteristics of reasonable structure, reliable insulation, small discharge volume, low loss, temperature rise, and low noise. The main performance indicators have reached the international advanced level, and can Put into production.

Shuyin Yin said that the successful development of this product has once again demonstrated the leading role of UHV projects in the equipment industry. The “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” is a period of accelerated development of the UHV, and continuous technological innovation will ensure the smooth construction of the project.

It is understood that the previously developed UHV products are focused on transmission and bucking links. This breakthrough in UHV boosting will further leverage UHV's transmission advantages, promote the development of energy bases and optimize the allocation of energy resources.
