Recently, we managed to get our hands on some interior spy photos of the upcoming Geely Emgrand RS from reliable sources. Compared to the current model, this new vehicle has undergone several enhancements in its interior design. Interestingly, we’ve learned that the car will adopt a new naming convention moving forward.
Inside, while the overall layout remains similar to the existing model, there are noticeable changes in the intelligent control section beneath the LED display. The new arrangement makes the button layout more compact and user-friendly. Additionally, the surroundings of the central console have been reimagined. For instance, the electronic handbrake controls are now placed on the left side, while the right side features a convenient card slot.

In terms of exterior styling, the new Emgrand RS has seen significant adjustments to both the front and rear sections. The front bumper has been updated, and the familiar family-style grille remains intact. However, the headlight designs on either side of the car now feature sharper, more angular lines. Similarly, the taillights at the rear echo this angular theme, creating a cohesive aesthetic.
When it comes to powertrain options, the new Emgrand RS offers more choices than before. While the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine (JLγ-4G15) continues to be available, the lineup now includes a new 1.4-liter turbocharged engine (JLB-4G14T). The 1.5-liter engine delivers up to 103 horsepower (76 kW), whereas the turbocharged 1.4-liter unit boosts output to 133 horsepower (98 kW). As for transmissions, the 1.5-liter engine pairs with either a five-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Unfortunately, details about the transmission system for the 1.4-liter turbocharged variant remain scarce at this stage.
These updates make the new Geely Emgrand RS not only more visually appealing but also more versatile in terms of performance.
