National Bank Note7 "Autopsy" report: The inside story turned out to be like this

Tencent Digital (Wang Yang) On October 18th, the China Tell Laboratory under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology formally provided CCTV’s “Consumer Claims” column with a report of the State Bank’s version of the Samsung Note7 report that was submitted by the first consumer in China. The final test result was not caused by Samsung's claim of external heating, but the battery was spontaneously ignited.

Samsung's inspection results "beating face"

Prior to this, CCTV’s “Consumption of Consumerism” column had accompanied two consumers in the country who had encountered the Note7 explosion in the country to go to the Tell Laboratory to check the cause of the accident. The final conclusion is that one of the machines could not be presumed because of serious burning; the other is that no external heating trace was found on the sample. The heat damage of the sample was caused by the spontaneous combustion of the battery. The battery burned from the lower right corner.

Obviously, this result is exactly the opposite of what Samsung announced earlier. On September 19 and September 29, Samsung had twice vocalized, saying that through detailed analysis of Chinese consumers' explosive mobile phones, it was inferred that product damage was not related to the battery because of external heating.

How is the real result detected?

According to Wu Yining, director of the Ministry of Environment and Safety at China’s Tell Labs, one of the burn-out models had no traces of heat damage caused by external heating on the exterior. They also analyzed the internal structure of the battery through X-ray imaging and computed tomography scans. The battery was found to be missing in the lower right corner with a marginal blur. There is a trace of aluminum melting inside the battery.

From the X-ray diagram, it is not difficult to see that the margins in the lower right corner of the cell phone battery are not clear and there are wrinkles, but the edges of the battery in other locations are relatively clear.

The CT scan shows that there is a black hole in the lower right corner of this battery, which has a relatively serious metal loss.

Therefore, Taylor's laboratory concluded that the cause of the National Bank version of the Note7 mobile phone is the self-ignition of the battery.

What exactly did Samsung deliver?

We can't help but ask why the cell phone sent by the consumer was "self-ignited" in the same lab. Samsung's cell phone was sent by "external heating."

In fact, the test at Tell Laboratory is responsible for the sample. In other words, the last detection of the Samsung-supplied burned-in mobile phone was indeed caused by external heating, but this time the burned-down mobile phone from the parties was the battery's spontaneous combustion.

Now Samsung's Note7 mobile phone has been recalled in the Chinese market as a defective product, and Tell Labs has proved that the explosion of the National Bank Note7 mobile phone is spontaneous combustion rather than external heating. Samsung previously claimed that its mobile phone is a "safe and reliable" basis for so-called detection. Is it true and fair or fake? We are looking forward to Samsung's reply as soon as possible.
