India's D.light first successful financing of 6 million US dollars

D.light, based in New Delhi, India, which provides suitable lighting solutions for under-funded households, recently completed a first round of financing of $6 million, including Nexus India Capital, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Garage Technology Ventures, Mahindra Group, Acumen Fund and Gray Matters Capital, the investment team provided seed funding when D.light was founded a year ago. D.light's main mission is to provide clean, safe and affordable lighting for 1.6 billion unpowered people, with the goal of completely eliminating the use of kerosene lamps and hundreds of developing countries through innovative solar and LED technologies. Ten thousand homes provide a brighter light source.

Earlier this year, D.light introduced several AC power products and solar-powered LED lighting products designed for families living on the ground floor and living on a few dollars a day. The product features multi-brightness setting and fast charging function, which can adapt to the various environments in which users live. The products are mainly sold in India and Africa and are currently being promoted globally.

In the coming months, D.light will continue to increase its production and sales capabilities to mitigate the safety and pollution problems associated with fuel-based lighting worldwide.
