In mid-July, Baidu has started offline processing of the official bar products, and stopped operating on behalf of the bar. Baidu's new policy indicates that non-standard products are official, games/sports/animation categories are official, celebrity bars, vertical bars, regional bars, etc. involving the transfer of the main rights and the relevant bar customization rights will be terminated.

However, this operating policy does not seem to be operating smoothly. Caixin said that on August 1st, operators in more than 70 regions across the country will gather in Beijing to negotiate with Baidu on the follow-up arrangements after the termination of this year’s contract. “Regional Bar” covers all major cities and counties across the country. Operators in these areas are mainly responsible for the commercial operations of their respective advertising spots. It is reported that they need to pay Baidu from 200,000 to more than 1 million yuan in order to obtain the right to operate, and operators have to do their own promotion investment. The payment criteria are based on the number of users posted, page views, and daily activities.

As Baidu and the operator have a larger disagreement on matters such as compensation, the negotiation stalled yesterday. Multiple operators pointed out that Baidu has unilaterally announced that it will stop operating on behalf of the operator, and provided two sets of solutions on July 31st:

1. Both parties will continue to perform the contract until the end of the contract expires, and then put the advertising space within the bar offline;

Second, early termination of the contract and offline advertising, Baidu will return the contract amount from July 1 to the end of the contract.

Baidu asked operators to choose one of the above options for implementation. As of August 8th, the overdue will automatically implement the first set of plans .

When these two plans were placed in front of the operators, many stakeholders were not satisfied with Baidu’s compensation plan. A generation operator in North China stated that Baidu's sales manager of Bar Post Bar promised to “ make money for the first year of contracting and bargaining in the first year and make money in the third year. ”

Since the model of Baidu Tieba (Platinum Partners) was launched in 2015, many operators have only just started. They have been told that the contract is about to expire soon after they reach the profit stage, and that their contracts are signed once a year. It has been alleged that several operators have invested a lot of money to set up the company, and that Baidu’s policy is as good for them.

Through understanding, an operator person pointed out in the collective bargaining that none of the dealers in more than a hundred regions were profitable, and everyone was losing money. At first, they all thought they were an example because of poor management, but everyone When they got together, they discovered that it was the case.

As a result, the operators negotiated and reached consensus, and proposed two solutions to Baidu:

First, Baidu continues to promise to provide services and technical support and maintain partnerships;

The second is to require Baidu to return all the service fees and all kinds of economic losses that the operators handed over, and apologize to the operators through the media.

At present, Baidu officials have not responded to these two conditions proposed by operators.
