Next-Generation iPhone 8 Will Offer AR and Face Recognition Features from Baidu VR

Apple announced at its financial conference call that it will strengthen iPhone 7 sales in the next phase. However, as a smartphone product, the iPhone series is already 10 years old! We can't help but guess that the next iPhone 8 will have those new features. The latest news shows that the next iPhone 8 will probably provide AR and facial recognition capabilities.

Face recognition

Timothy Arcuri, an analyst at Cowen, wrote:

"Other features, including facial/gesture recognition, will be achieved with a new laser sensor and an infrared sensor mounted near the front camera."

This additional bio-level protection mechanism can effectively ensure people's online security. Today's online fraud is more common than other crimes, and facial recognition is crucial to prevent online fraud.

Wireless, glasses

Analysts also confirmed that the next generation iPhone will provide wireless charging capabilities.

Analysts expect the new iPhone to create volume shipment records and expect this to trigger a new round of "super cycles" in sales. He also made some additional predictions that seem to be in line with current users' expectations: launching "all-enveloping" designs on larger models, possibly 5.8-inch models

AR function

Industry insiders speculate that Apple's implantation of facial/gesture recognition on the iPhone indicates that Apple is intending to enter the AR field. Apple CEO Tim Cook emphasized Apple's AR and available products, such as machine intelligence.

"We are very optimistic about the prospects of AR, we think there will be a great consumer product and a great business opportunity," Cook said.

Research and development

It is believed that Apple has a team that is developing AR technology that can be used for iPhone camera applications.

The British "Financial Times" recently claimed that Apple has hundreds of employees "from a series of carefully selected acquisitions" is working with some "from the next-generation helmet technology company" employees. Apple also dug out Yury Petrov, a former VR research scientist at Oculus, Zeyu Li from Magic Leap, and Doug Bowman, director of the center for human-computer interaction from Virginia Tech.

"Apple is making the iPhone an AR portal," Kris Kolo said. Kris Kolo is a global VR / AR executive director and has been an advisor to FlyBy Media. FlyBy Media was acquired by Apple in 2016.

Heat Pipe Solar Collector

heat pipe Solar Collector is one type of vacuum tube solar collector.

The selective coating on the inner cover of the Vacuum Tubes converts solar energy and transfers heat to the heat pipes by aluminum fins. The liquid in the heat pipe changes into vapor which rises to the condenser. Then the heat passes through the heat exchanger, the water inside of header pipe is being heated, and the vapor becomes liquid, returning to the bottom of the heat pipe. This transference of heat creates a continuous circulation as long as the heat pipe vacuum tube collector is heated by sun.

Heat is transferred by liquid to the header pipe and heat the water efficiently. In addition, heat pipe vacuum tubes is highly freezing resistance, which ensures higher efficiency in cold areas.

Heat pipe solar collectors can be used in both pressurized or non-pressurized circulation systems.

Evacuated heat pipe technology

1. Evacuated tubes based on the thermos flask principle and consisting of two concentric glass tubes and an evacuated gap to prevent heat loss.
2. Highly selective absorber layer on the inner glass tubes (AI/ALN,) which enables an optimum energy yield.
3. Aluminum heat transfer plate to provide an optimum heat transfer medium system.
4. Copper heat pipes transfer the extracting heat effectively.
5. Rock wool insulation with an aluminum lamination in order to prevent heat loss in the manifold.
6. Compression ring fitting (Ø 22 mm) for flow and return which enable a safe and easy-to-install pipework connections.
7. The most common working fluid is water for ambient temperatures of - 30 °C to an operating temperature to 90 °C.
