CSR and Bluegiga provide Bluetooth technology for Polar ’s Team2 heart rate monitoring system
Wireless technology provider CSR has announced that its BlueCore Bluetooth chip provides a wireless link for Polar ’s Team2 heart rate monitoring system. The system consists of up to 28 Bluetooth heart rate monitors, which can be connected to a PDA, computer and laptop, and log in and process data through Bluegiga ’s Bluetooth access server platform. The system is suitable for sports teams, R & D centers and universities to monitor and improve athlete performance.
The Bluetooth connection of Polar ’s Team2 system is provided by Bluegiga ’s WT11-A Class 1 module, which uses CSR ’s BlueCore4 chip and Bluegiga ’s iWRAP Bluetooth connection firmware. Bluegiga's access server is based on CSR's multiple BlueCore4 chips, enabling the system to synchronously collect and analyze data from up to 28 players wirelessly. When using Bluetooth, the heart rate monitor can achieve up to 30 hours of battery life, with a range of up to 100 meters, and is most suitable for monitoring the heart rate of athletes in track and field. The Team2 heart rate monitor can resist water pressure of 30 meters and is fully earthquake resistant, and each system is equipped with PDA and PC software to upload data and provide analysis.
