China Mobile's terminal policy is also brewing changes. For the other two operators, Li Chunchao believes that the support of their respective 4G networks is different.
For China Telecom, if it is a 4G-based data terminal product, the PXA1088 LTE chip can be directly supported because it does not require a CDMA system. If it is a mobile phone chip, it will be a bit more complicated. High-end mobile phones based on the CDMA system require a chip to be attached to the original chip because it needs to support both CDMA and LTE.
"Because it is two chips, involving many software and interoperability switching problems, the program is currently being evaluated. There is a lot of work to be done on the agreement." Li Chunchao said.
Due to the 3G era, Marvell already has a production WCDMA solution. On the 4G network, the chip itself is a five-mode model. For Marvell, it is easier to support. Li Chunchao revealed that he has started joint testing with China Unicom.
