US developed the world's largest flexible color OLED display

Recently, the Flexible Display Center (FDC) of Arizona State University announced that it has developed a prototype of a flexible color OLED display that is said to be the largest in the world. The display has a diagonal size of 7.4 inches and is developed by FDC and scientists at the US Army Research Laboratory using advanced mixed oxide thin film transistor (TFT) technology.

The display also represents the US Department of Defense's development of a full-color, fully dynamic flexible display for applications in thinner, more flexible, flexible and highly rugged devices, and means that high-performance, flexible, full-color OLED display screens are accelerating Commercialization process.

Hybrid oxide TFTs provide a cost-effective manufacturing method for displays that deliver high-performance displays with vibrant colors and video effects while reducing power consumption and switching speed. In addition, the mixed oxide TFT can use an existing amorphous silicon production line, thereby eliminating the need for dedicated equipment, further increasing cost competitiveness. Future color flexible displays based on hybrid oxide TFTs may become color display products that replace low temperature polysilicon.
